Wetlands are a key life support system for our planet. To stem global biodiversity loss and meet Sustainable Development Goals, we need to dramatically shift the way we treat and manage the world’s wetlands.

WWT is on a mission to do this, and we are recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead projects that conserve and restore internationally important wetlands, empower local communities, and showcase best-practice throughout the world.

Role Outline

This role will manage multi-stakeholder wetland conservation projects in our priority global areas, also advocating the wise-use of natural systems within local, national and regional decision-making. Immediate priorities will be to deliver integrated wetland conservation and development projects in SE Asia. The role will provide technical expertise in habitat restoration, conservation management planning, and partnership coordination. Project stakeholders will include specialists in sustainable livelihoods, education and awareness, community-based natural resource management, and monitoring and evaluation. The role will also work to develop new partnerships, projects and funding streams to drive forward WWT’s wetland conservation impact.

About You

You will be passionate about securing and restoring resilient natural systems. You’ll have experience developing and delivering high impact environmental conservation projects in the developing world, and have creative ideas for how to deliver and fund sustainable conservation work. We’re looking for someone who values a professional approach to managing projects and can communicate, and advocate for, their work to wide range of stakeholders.
