Your Impact:

Water supports all life, and is the foundation of our environment, society and economy. The management of our water resources is becoming increasingly critical as we see climate-related emergencies, like floods and drought, affecting communities across the World. At Jacobs, our water business provides the full spectrum of consulting services from advisory and adaptative pathway planning through to engineering design and asset management – our scientists, engineers, planners and community engagement teams work collaboratively with clients, communities and traditional owners to find the right solutions to their water challenges.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Hydrogeologist to join our Melbourne Water Resources team in 2024. You’ll be working on projects for a range of clients across Australia and New Zealand, to monitor groundwater quality and quantity, assess sustainable groundwater yields, and analyse the impact of infrastructure on groundwater quality and quantity. This work will involve a wide range of tasks including data collection and other field work, technical analysis of data, spatial analysis and mapping, groundwater modelling, and report writing. We will mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Ideally, by January 2024 you’ll hold a university degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or Science with an interest in hydrogeology. This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia.
