In addition, s/he will be responsible for identifying grant, contract, and private as well as public agency funding sources for research and other programs and for identifying potential members for the Water UCI Leadership Board. In addition, the Academic Coordinator/Researcher will be responsible for furthering Water UCI’s educational mission by creating curricula for our continuing education certificate program and Water UCI Water Innovation Challenge program as well as developing new educational programs.

Community:
The Academic Coordinator/Researcher will develop, maintain and support partnerships between the School of Social Ecology and the various local and regional water agencies, private sector, local, state and federal agency funders, community organizations and other academic institutions that collaborate with, and provide funding for, Water UCI’s principal activities. These partnerships are implemented by developing and managing collaborative research projects, planning and coordinating sponsored events, and developing and coordinating outreach programs via UC Irvine campus visits and various virtual, remote events.

The Academic Coordinator/Researcher will also maintain established curriculum and develop new curriculum and outreach materials to disseminate to the campus, local and national community. S/he or she will serve as the primary source of Center communications by developing and assisting in the production and dissemination of content to local, regional, and national communities on Center events including colloquia, research updates, and other activities.

In this capacity, s/he will oversee and assist in creating social media, website, and email communications; oversee planning and logistics for our public outreach colloquia; and liaison with Water UCI’s external Leadership Board.
