We are seeking a Project Officer with project governance experience and excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to form collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small high-achieving and supportive team that oversees over $650 million of rural water infrastructure projects, feasibility studies and business case projects across Victoria.

The Project Officer will be part of a team which is responsible for initiating and overseeing rural water infrastructure projects which support modernised infrastructure, improved water efficiency and increased resilience to changes in water availability across Victoria, as well as securing funding for future rural water infrastructure investment to address future water security, reliability, and access.

The role is responsible for coordinating, facilitating and providing project support for rural water infrastructure projects and feasibility studies including ongoing monitoring of funding and reporting. There will be an opportunity in this role to get out of the office on regional visits to see projects under construction and engage with other elements of the team’s diverse work program.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate qualification in engineering, science, natural resource management or an approved equivalent is highly desired.
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence is required.

This is a fixed term position available until 25 August 2023. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale St, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
