The Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory aims to design implementable options to sustain global habitability and improve well-being for all humankind.

We are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee daily operations and contribute to strategic planning for ASU’s new Arizona Water Innovation Initiative (AWII). The Arizona Water Innovation Initiative (AWII) is a statewide project led by the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory. The initiative has four proposed strategic programs: the Global Center for Water Technology, the Arizona Water Observatory and Decision Support System, Impact Water – Arizona, and Arizona Water for All.

Through this initiative, ASU works with industrial, municipal, agricultural, tribal, and international partners to rapidly accelerate and deploy new approaches and technology for water conservation, augmentation, desalination, efficiency, infrastructure, and reuse.

Under leadership direction, the Director of Operations will collaborate closely with units in the Global Futures Laboratory, Knowledge Enterprise, and Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, liaise with operations and finance teams across the university. Functional areas of responsibility include budget, finance, human resources, facilities, and project execution. This position will support the development of long- and short-range budgetary goals to support unit priorities in alignment with best practices and adherence to policies.
