Working within the Strategic Projects team, you will deliver a variety of interesting projects, strategic initiatives, policy advice and coordination services involving a high degree of engagement with key external and internal stakeholders.

You will use your demonstrated project management, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills to manage a range of strategic water initiatives , complex projects and resources, and in doing so, contribute to a high performance team culture. Your contribution to the delivery of the team’s business objectives will help enhance how the Department engages with stakeholders and different communities, including First Nations People’s interests and consideration of the cultural values of water.

A high level of professionalism and the ability to make things happen, communicate and drive strategies to produce results collegially and develop productive relationships are important attributes for this role.

This is a fast paced and responsive team and delivery focused environment. You will need to quickly learn new content, deploy resources smartly including through effective contract management, identify project risks/issues and connect multiple parts of the water business and government priorities at the state, federal and local government levels to achieve desirable outcomes for water resource management across Queensland.
