About the Role:

As Chief Partnership Officer (CPO), you will co-lead Design for Good with the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) and report to the Board. Your primary responsibilities will include developing our alliance member network, collaborating with development organizations and implementation partners, and working closely with cross-functional teams on strategic planning, budgeting, and policies. Key Responsibilities:

Develop Our Alliance Member Network:

  • Proactively research, identify, and secure new alliance members aligned with our mission and values.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies, manage partnership processes, and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Prioritize relationship-building and cultivate long-term partnerships with both new and existing alliance members.
  • Collaborate with members to clarify roles, establish communication channels, and define success metrics.
  • Understand what works well, identify areas for improvement, and deliver tough messages when necessary.
  • Proactively address issues or concerns and identify opportunities to deepen relationships.

Development Organizations and Implementation Partners:

  • Approach and secure agreements with development organizations and experts.
  • Support the CXO in ensuring high-quality design briefs and user research.
  • Foster strong relationships with development organization leadership.
  • Develop an implementation partnership network, including incubators, nonprofits, and global funds.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work with the Board, CXO, and Finance Director on strategic decisions, budgeting, and impact measurement.
  • Ensure credibility of impact information and produce well-crafted reports for partners and the public.

Requirements:

Career Experience:

  • 7+ years in partnership management, business development, or non-profit fundraising.
  • Proven success in building and scaling partnerships with large multinationals, including negotiating and closing six-figure agreements.
  • Experience working with senior leaders in global corporations, building trust-based relationships.
  • Strong background in collaborating with development organizations.
  • Experience in a small-team start-up environment is a strong benefit.
