DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is a professional position that supervises the daily activities of employees, within the Clean Water program of the Northeast Regional Office who are engaged in the regulation of facilities to insure compliance with the Commonwealth’s rules and regulations governing water quality. Duties include all aspects of employee supervision, assisting field personnel with enforcement cases and performing joint field inspections, establishing priorities for the enforcement of cases, and evaluating the effectiveness of the enforcement program within the assigned area.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes-Barre.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
 Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Water Quality Specialist; or 
  • any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges and abilities.

Necessary Special Requirement: 

  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
