The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced or Senior Sustainability Analyst – Water Conservation to join our team in Mesa, AZ; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA; San Antonio, TX; Seattle, WA; or Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with site and business unit personnel to develop and implement water-related sustainability strategies, partnerships, strategic marketing and messaging, engagement initiatives, and education with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Boeing sites to identify and prioritize key conservation projects to reduce water use and measuring and verifying recurring water savings; work with stakeholders to ensure project execution
  • Work with site and business unit personnel to design and lead initiatives focused on reducing the environmental footprint and improve conservation efforts throughout Boeing
  • Provide subject matter expertise in identifying, implementing and enabling sites to replicate conservation best practices to reduce water use from operations
  • Create, deliver and share persuasive presentations to represent and positively influence environmental sustainability with internal stakeholders
  • Conduct water studies and make recommendations for enterprise-level long-range plans and strategies to achieve Boeing’s Sustainability Goals
  • Support problem resolution in support of business operations by investigating, developing and preparing alternatives, impact statements, and recommendations
  • Provide clear and articulate progress reports on water reduction strategies
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, regulators, utility representatives and trade associations to promote Boeings sustainability goals
  • Work with site personnel to perform water balance studies at Boeing Facilities throughout the continental United States – some travel required (up to 25%)
  • Work with site personnel to identify employees and provide them water audit training and guidance for site self-performance
  • Benchmark and analyze current trends, technologies and best practices to drive efficient operations

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with water use and analysis
  • 1+ years of experience with water balance studies
  • 1+ years of experience with design review
  • 1+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with water use and analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in site services and /or Utilities Services
  • 3+ years of experience with project management
  • 1+ years of experience with data analytics and statistics
  • Certified Water Efficiency Professional (CWEP), Professional Engineer (PE), LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C), LEED AP Operations + Maintenance (LEED AP O+M), or Project Management Certification
  • Experience designing a commissioning plan and leading commissioning efforts
  • Experience taking measurements to determine water efficiency and experience with equipment used to perform those measurements
  • Experience with facilities requirements, analysis, planning, design standards and specifications and building codes

Typical Education & Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range:

Experienced (Level 3): $75,000 – $133,000

Senior (Level 4): $95,000 – $169,000
