WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Science Program Specialist manages research projects and assists with science planning and communications for both external partnerships with research collaborators and internal partnerships with scientists across the Provide Food and Water Global Program.

The Science Program Specialist also works with the Provide Food and Water science leadership to manage and advance scientific collaboration and support the development and maintenance of partnerships with other scientists and institutions to achieve Provide Food and Water strategic outcomes.  They will act as a bridge between global and local team staff that have expertise in agriculture, climate, fisheries, aquaculture, and water systems management, sharing resources and surfacing emerging areas of concern.  They will act as a liaison to operations teams including contracts and finance to facilitate smooth project implementation. They will assist in conducting horizon scanning exercises to identify emerging scientific issues relevant to TNC and surface critical scientific issues within the Conservancy.  The Science Program Specialist also works with food and water science leads to develop and conduct strategy and decision-relevant research, including synthetic data or literature reviews and other quantitative and qualitative analyses. They may be called on to support research and proposal design and development as applicable. They will help to ensure the scientists of the global program are fully informed of the resources, programs and capacities offered by the One Conservancy Science program.
