Join the Indian Health Service Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction (IHS-DSFC)! We are seeking staff to work in partnership with American Indian Tribes to plan, design and construct water, wastewater and solid waste facilities.

This announcement is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) appointment, identified as a position needed in support of Sanitation Facilities Construction (SFC) projects specifically funded by Congress through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), subject for a Term of 4 years that may be extended up to 10 years subject to Agency determination.

This position will be located in one of the locations identified and will be responsible for duties such as:

Utilizing survey equipment to calculate data points.

Taking field notes and utilizing information to develop plans.

Performing construction inspection for community and individual water supply.

Ensuring safety standards and environmental regulations are interpreted and applied accordingly as projects progress.

Recognizing errors and deficiencies in technical data.
