As part of a team, you provide hydrometric information to support decisions about Queensland’s water resources. You operate and maintain a remote network of water monitoring infrastructure and bores, ensuring all practices and entry of data conform to the departments quality system. You may supervise water monitoring staff, and you represent the region’s groundwater interests, making recommendations about improved practices and the allocation of resources to priority work.

As a member of the South Region Water Monitoring team, you provide hydrometric information that is relied upon for decisions to be made about Queensland water resources.
You operate and maintain a remote network of water monitoring infrastructure with tasks ranging from challenging remote field operations to electronically entering, validating and archiving the data.
As a supervisor you demonstrate and ensure high standards of personal leadership and responsibility, safety and a commitment to the departments quality system.
You support the team’s senor leaders by representing regional groundwater monitoring interests in negotiating and organising resources to meet regional priorities.
