Permanent, Full Time

£28,952 to £30,481 with excellent benefits

Hybrid Working, 1-2 days per week in the London office (Canary Wharf), plus extensive time on event sites from June-September.

About the Team:
The Community, Events & Education Team is a key driver of supporter engagement in WaterAid’s work around the world. This is done through the development and nurturing of individuals and networks of ambassadors, the creation of inspiring and engaging appeals and events and the delivery of an engagement and volunteering programme, which maximises the impact our supporters can have. The Special Events part of the team is responsible for the management and delivery of unique festivals partnerships, and supporting a range of engagement, media & supporter events and campaigns.

About the Role:
As our organised and enthusiastic Special Events Officer, you work across events delivery, partnership management, communications and campaigning in all of WaterAid’s festival and special events projects, and act as a key onsite team member at some of the UKs biggest and most loved public events.

In this role, you will support all areas of the special events team – from onsite events management, communications, partnership management and public campainging across festivals and special events.

You’ll also:
* Manage some key festival partnerships and external relationships and develop this to give maximum value to WaterAid
* Lead on operational processes around equipment and materials, travel and storage to support all special events project logistics
* Work with Special Events Team colleagues on the development of mass campaigning activations for festivals and beyond
* Project Manage some other non-festivals events across the Special Events portfolio
* Contribute to the Special Events Team digital communications – copywriting emails, supporting creative development of events materials and managing social media groups and accounts

About You:

To be successful, you’ll need:
* Experience of working on large scale public events
* Experience of managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Experience of managing communications for various audiences
* Enthusiasm, a positive and proactive approach to work and the ability to work under own initiative and collaboratively as part of a teams
