Summary:
The Rollins College Department of Environmental Studies is seeking a Freshwater Institute Program Manager! The Program Manager will provide oversight and administration for freshwater curricular and research initiatives toward the goal of establishing Rollins College as a leading institution in freshwater science and education in Florida. The position and relevant initiatives are supported by a three-year grant with possibility of renewal upon successful implementation.

The Program Manager will report to the grant administrator (housed in the Environmental Studies department) and work closely with an interdisciplinary steering committee. The position involves providing administrative support (managing budgets, outreach, reporting, etc.) as well as proactively engaging with Rollins faculty across disciplines and community partners to develop freshwater initiatives and outreach. This will include management of databases, contracts, and technological equipment for curricular and/or research needs.

Essential Job Functions:Manage grant budget allocations, requests, and reporting requirementsCalibration and maintenance of monitoring equipment, dataloggers, and data communicationDevelop and maintain databases related to water quality monitoring, equipment usage and maintenance, and data QA/QCAssist in development of collaborations among Rollins faculty and staff for integration of freshwater research across arts & sciences curricula and sustainable development goalsCoordinate outreach efforts, including development of a program webpage, marketing, and tracking and communicating impactsDevelop and maintain relationships with community partners (e.g. City of Winter Park and other local municipalities, school districts, NGOs, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
& Education:
BA or BS from an accredited college/university in a field related to water research or educationTwo to four years’ experience related to the essential functions of the position: program management (budgets and reporting) and/or technology operations (website development, water quality data QA/QC, equipment maintenance)Experience with programming languages, ability to communicate with IT personnel on data needs

Masters DegreeExperience with grant administration in academic environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Passion for collaboration and outreach related to freshwater initiativesDemonstrated ability to work both independently and in collaborations; excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with water quality monitoring instrumentation and deploymentExcellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, web development, social media, etc.Ability/desire to learn and utilize new software and technology (for data management, providing programming/coding support, deploying/maintaining/troubleshooting monitoring equipment, etc.) 
Work Environment:Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environmentRegular use of a computer and databasesMay require travel to off-site meetings (local)Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, may be required on an “as needed” basisLight physical requirements (moving equipment < 25lbs.) in outdoor spaces
