We are looking for Financial Specialist to join our team in the Water Quality Division.  The Financial Specialist is responsible for providing financial support to the Water Quality division. This position must coordinate and communicate with external customers/stakeholders. This position is responsible for specific fiscal duties including budgeting, contracting, revenue (fee) collection, fee rulemaking coordination, long range program accounting analysis, accounts receivable/payables, and grant management.

 The Financial Specialist position includes a career ladder for professional development and pay progression. This position may be eligible for occasional telework. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or closely related field.  
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible accounting experience.  
  • Preferred knowledge of State Government laws, and Legislative process.  
  • Preferred experience with the SABHRS.
