Project Engineer
Location requirements: 60-80% in-person; Tacoma, WA; Travel to project sites required
Work authorization requirements: Must be authorized to work within the United States

Interface with clients to coordinate project deliverables, contracting requirements, timelines, & milestones.
Project management and oversight of technical issues/work products, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality assurance, health and safety protocols, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Support the development of customer relationships by communicating technical capabilities (i.e. lunch & learns), project scoping, and conference / trade show attendance.
Provide technical/engineering support for pilot-scale and commercial-scale design and system operation. Support execution of process scale up and transfer to project sites.
Oversee equipment deployment, maintenance, and operation.
Ensure safe and environmentally sustainable operation as uncompromised priorities.
Write and/or provide quality control for technical documentation that includes, but not limited to, reports, Standard Operating Procedures, economic evaluations, and engineering design/construction packages.
Work within quality, budget, and schedule expectations for scope-specific assignments.
Communicate findings to internal project teams, management, and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure project delivery.

Are you the person we need?
“Must-have” Qualifications:
5-10 years of project management experience
B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
Passion for making a positive impact on the environment & public health

“Nice-to-have” Qualifications:
Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including machinery and equipment
Understanding of safety guidelines
Ability to problem solve in adverse field conditions
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with project management tools (Notion, Trello, Asana, etc.)
Proposal writing & contracting experience
OSHA, HAZWOPER certification and/or training experience
