Job Description

Our Water Consultancy Division provides strategic water sector services to a wide range of clients in the UK and internationally including water utilities, regulators, governments, multilateral and commercial lenders and research bodies.

As water and environmental policy developments drive a more integrated approach to water services and environmental stewardship, Mott MacDonald has taken a leading role in supporting clients develop practical approaches to implementing systems approaches.  Clients require increased integration of environmental and infrastructure systems and greater engagement with other sectors such as agriculture, transport, industry and power generation.  In particular, the UK is undergoing a period of transition in the funding of environmental stewardship creating new opportunities for collaborative, multi-benefit, multi-sector programmes to achieve water and environmental outcomes.

Systems approaches allow clients to achieve environment, social and service objectives with more efficient, cost effective and coordinated programmes of action.  Blue green infrastructure, social outcomes, natural capital, multi-criteria analysis, conventional infrastructure planning and digital twins are all tools towards building a more systemic approach to environmental challenges.  Integration of these tools requires systems thinkers with strong stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.

We are looking for motivated strategic and systemic thinkers, who can combine interdisciplinary analysis, stakeholder engagement and project management.  We are interested in hearing from team players who want to generate the best possible outcomes for our clients, the environment and society.

In this role you will implement our systems offerings for clients and work in a team to develop our offerings further.
