The Role

Oxfam International, Regional Platform – Asia is looking for a TROSA (Trans Boundary Rivers of South Asia) Program Manager who will be responsible for the overall leadership and implementation of TROSA 2 in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and regionally in Asia. The Program Manager will develop, manage, and support the operational, influencing and policy work of the program to ensure the achievement of organizational goals related to Climate and Gender Justice.

The position is responsible for building powerful alliances, voices and multi-stakeholder partnerships with community-based movements, relevant government bodies, international institutions, private sector, academic and technical allies, partners and networks to achieve improved cooperation in governing shared water resources and strengthened resilience to climate change of selected communities in the GBM basins. The Program Manager will represent the program to external stakeholders and will lead on further program development and fund-raising.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a Program manager with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and 10 years’ experience on Natural Resource Management or Climate related issues preferably in Asia. S/he should have strong knowledge of the Asia context with emphasis on South Asia of social and political dynamics related to water governance and excellent understanding of gender issues in water governance. S/he should have experience in advocacy in regional and international policy spaces relevant to Climate Justice and Accountable Governance with Strong networking, representational, coordination of multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and high-level negotiation skills.
