ABOUT IMAGINE H2O ASIA
Imagine H2O Asia is the go-to-partner for entrepreneurs building and scaling solutions to the global water crisis. Since 2009, Imagine H2O’s startup accelerator and technology pilot funding programs have supported 166 startups from 20 countries that are transforming how water is used, treated and accessed.
Led by Imagine H2O, a San Francisco-headquartered nonprofit, Imagine H2O Asia is the organization’s regional hub based in Singapore. Participating entrepreneurs receive mentorship and market advisory, industry visibility, pilot support as well as connectivity to global customers and investors. In December 2022, Imagine H2O Asia announced its fourth annual cohort. From climate risk analytics to industrial wastewater treatment, this diverse group of startups will benefit from new regional partners and additional pilot funding across the Asia-Pacific.
Imagine H2O Asia is supported by Enterprise Singapore and PUB – Singapore’s National Water Agency, corporate partners including Veolia, Xylem, and Kurita, and multilateral organizations including the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Imagine H2O Asia is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated self-starter with exceptional writing and communication skills. The Associate will be based in Singapore and will support operations, business development and communications activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operations
● Support planning, design and implementation of startup training sessions
● Support direct startup mentorship and market entry advisory activities
● Monitor startup engagement and performance as well as program impact
● Coordinate email campaigns and program updates for startups and partners
● Support in-person startup and partner events in Singapore and the region
Communications
● Design and draft program materials for startup and partner outreach
● Conduct research and interviews to draft blogs about Imagine H2O-funded projects
● Coordinate video and other communications campaigns
● Update program webpage and/or support social media communications
Business Development
● Support updating of partner and startup CRM
● Conduct research to support startup market entry, pilot project design and/or generate insights to share with partners and supporters
● Represent the organization at industry events or partner/vendor meetings, if needed
REQUIREMENTS
● Demonstrate through recent internship and/or full-time professional experiences:
- Strong project management and relationship management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to be self-directed as well as manage ambiguity or changing priorities
- Interest in water innovation, entrepreneurship and/or venture capital
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with a lean team
● Bachelors degree or Diploma
● 0-2 years of professional experience
● Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
● A background in a related field and/or familiarity with water or environmental technologies is preferred but not required
BENEFITS & LOCATION
● This is a full-time position based in Singapore.
