Our Water Group is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Ecohydrologist to join the Surface Water Science team  and contribute to the development and delivery of high priority science research projects, evaluation, scientific studies and data analysis.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be highly motivated with well-developed skills in aquatic and vegetation ecology, with proven experience in delivering scientific advice both verbally and written. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be an excellent communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You will contribute to the hydrological and ecological studies, as well support the implementation of environmental monitoring and evaluation plans. You will have demonstrated capabilities in working on complex and time sensitive projects, communicating results to a variety of audiences, and be able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Desired skills include knowledge of statistical analysis packages including R. Ability to drive for wheel drive vehicles and participate in remote fieldwork. Knowledge of vegetation ecology also valuable. Skills and experience in scripting with Python are desirable
