The candidate will be a crucial player in the Digital Content and Experience team, creating connections between internal teams, supporters and the cause, the organisation and its partners.

This is a full-time, one-year maternity cover position based in our UK office in Canary Wharf, London. The start date of this role is April 2023.

You’ll manage the design and production of content on WaterAid’s UK, international and policy, practice and advocacy websites.

As WaterAid’s lead digital writer, not only will you maintain a high standard of copywriting and content, but you will implement our key engagement principles in the design of meaningful supporter experiences across our owned digital channels.

You’ll engage with and lead internal stakeholders on the strategic development of our digital output, and collaborate closely with your peers to create ground-breaking, integrated digital experiences.

You’ll manage a team of four Digital Editors, empowering them to achieve both personal and organisational objectives. You will direct your team’s workflow and ensure their creative and technical development.

About you
* You’re a skilled writer, an expert planner and a strong communicator.
* You have proven experience of content design and managing websites.
* You’re an experienced project manager, with the ability to use your own initiative to meet deadlines and competing priorities.
* You have a solid understanding of SEO techniques, UX, web architecture and accessibility.
* You have leadership and motivational qualities, with the ability to drive change.
* You have an innate desire to work for an organisation and cause that values and respects human life and believes we must do better.
