The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) team capitalizes on Amazon’s scale, speed, and ability to invent and simplify to create a better and more resilient company. Are you an experienced program management or audit professional who is passionate about sustainability? Do you have an interest in Water management and reporting?

This role is responsible for ensuring Amazon produces high quality assured water metrics that enable internal decision making and external reporting.

You will have a strong background in water data collection, reporting frameworks, and disclosures. Experience with corporate sustainability reporting strong audit, program management, analytical, and process optimization skills. You will work across teams, organizations, and regional boundaries to drive program success.

Key job responsibilities
• Provide Water subject matter expertise to Amazon business units in order to guide Water reporting and Water mitigation

• Define, implement, and communicate recommendations related to Water program policies and procedures, processes, internal controls, roles and responsibilities, reporting, and supporting information technology solutions

• Evaluate leading Water reporting frameworks, and develop recommendations for Amazon’s future reporting

• Collaborate with business units to confirm compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Coordinate independent programs for centralized tracking and management

• Conduct internal and external Water assurance, coordinating with business partners and external partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years experience in corporate sustainability and reporting
• 5+ years of water and effluents experience inclusive of policy, methodology, strategy and compliance reviews
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to drive process-based improvements across functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• ESG Certifications (i.e. Certified Sustainable Investment Professional (CSIP) Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB))
• Strong initiative and collaborative working style and experience working with multiple stakeholders to successfully execute action plans
• Experience working with stakeholders across both technical and business functions
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines
• Proven ability to interface successfully with senior leadership and internal stakeholders
