Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
Location requirements: 60-80% in-person; Tacoma, WA
Work authorization requirements: Must be authorized to work within the United States

This is an excellent opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge technology, building robust industrial systems for deployment & operation on municipal, federal, and private remediation projects. Design and develop new control systems for industrial equipment
Select and procure equipment including sensors, controllers, power supplies, enclosures, etc
Install and commission control systems prior to site deployment
Test, maintain, and optimize existing systems
Operate novel PFAS destruction systems, and measure system performance
Analyze data and present reports to customers and funding agencies
Collaborate with design engineers, operators, and technicians to ensure system performance
Collaborate with UX/UI designer for HMI interface design & implementation

Are you the person we need?
“Must-have” Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience designing control systems
3-5 years of experience programming PLCs using ladder logic
Experience with control enclosure design & equipment selection
Experience creating electrical schematics and/or wiring diagrams
Ability to work independently on complex tasks while collaborating with a larger team on system integration
Passion for making a positive impact on the environment & public health

“Nice-to-have” Qualifications:
Experience using Solidworks electrical package
Hands-on experience assembling and wiring machines or control enclosures
Experience designing and implementing HMIs and/or GUIs
PE Certification – Control Systems or Electrical and Computer
