Purpose: The Urban Watershed Resilience Advisor will implement an innovative extension education and applied research program to address issues related to increasing the resilience of urban watersheds in response to urbanization, climate change, and differing community priorities.

Counties of Responsibility: This position will be headquartered in the South Coast REC (UCCE Orange County office), CA and also have programmatic responsibilities in Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. This is not a remote position.

Education: A minimum of a Master’s degree in urban ecology, hydrology, environmental science or related field is required at the time of appointment.

Salary: The beginning salary will be in the Cooperative Extension Assistant Advisor Rank and commensurate with applicable experience and professional qualifications.

This position is eligible for indefinite status.
