  • Salary relative to experience, and starts from $95,136 + super

The Environmental Water Management team within the Water Planning Implementation Branch is seeking a Water Resource Officer. The team is responsible for implementing and improving environmental water reforms across NSW and works closely with state and federal partner agencies.

About you

As a Water Resource Officer, you will undertake investigations and help develop solutions that maximise the beneficial outcomes of water for the environment. This will require knowledge in the areas of hydrology, water resource management and relevant government policies and plans.

Essential requirements

  • tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science, ecology or a related discipline
  • strong communication and collaboration skills
  • strong research and analysis skills, with a high attention to detail
  • ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
