The Opportunity

The Hygiene Promotion Assistant, under the supervision of the Hygiene Promotion Officer, is primarily responsible for designing and leading the hygiene promotion and mobilization activities. The position holder ensures positive engagement of SCI’s stakeholders, beneficiaries and local communities to ensure transparency, participation and full understanding of the hygiene promotion and WASH field activities. The HPA also conducts awareness sessions.

In order to be succesfull you will bring/have:

Essential

  • Two years experience of working for a humanitarian aid organization in similar position
  • Experience of preparing various reports.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Excellent facilitation and community mobilization skills
  • The candidate should have leadership skills
  • Computer proficient in Excel Word, and internet.
  • Ability to work in the field.
  • Experience in dealing with rural communities,
  • Have good management and Presentation skills.
  • Prepares a variety of records and reports (e.g. memos, letters, procedures, manuals, menus, budget, schedules, etc.).
  • Perform assigned related task by the project officer and project management

Desirable:

  • Oral and written Language skills in English
  • Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant regions/contexts
  • Humanitarian programming experience.
