Duties and Responsibilities
The Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) is responsible for providing substantive and organizational support for the Partnership Accelerator activities to be implemented in the upcoming months. The purpose of the consultancy is to support the day-to-day coordination and implementation 2030 Agenda Partnership Accelerator.

Work assignments

Working under the direction of DESA/DSDG, the individual contractor will carry out the following tasks:

  1. Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation, including managing speaker lists, manage virtual meetings and prepare meeting summaries, of a virtual partnership event (June 2023)
  2. Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation, including managing speaker lists, manage meetings and prepare meeting summaries, of a partnership side event during 2023 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) (July 2023)
  3. Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation, including managing speaker lists, manage meetings and prepare meeting summaries, of partnership training workshop during 2023 HLPF (July 2023)
  4. Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation for the Partnership Training to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico (August 2023)
  5. Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation, including managing speaker lists, manage meetings and prepare meeting summaries of the SDG Partnership Symposium to be held in the margins of the 2023 SDG Summit (September 2023).
  6. Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation for the Partnership Training to be held in Papua New Guinea (October 2023)
  7. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills

  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in sustainable development, economics, public policy, public administration, finance, natural resources management, engineering, law, social sciences or related field is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year progressively responsible experience on sustainable development issues, including experience on partnerships is desirable but not required. Experience in policy-oriented work in sustainable development issues and in preparing written outputs on sustainable development issues is desired but not required.
  • Knowledge about partnerships and means of implementation, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Knowledge about online meeting and reporting tools, such as Zoom, MS Teams, MS Forms.
  • Computer literate, including of online survey tools (being able to use MS Windows, office applications, Internet search), experience with producing info graphics is an advantage.
    Experience working collaboratively in a team structure in a multicultural environment.

Languages
Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official UN Language is an advantage.

Additional Information
The contractor will be paid in line with the fee range of a Level A contractor as per
ST/AI/2013/4. The exact fee will be determined based on the expertise of the contractor as
indicated in the Personal History Profile. Payment will be made on a monthly basis upon
certification of successful completion of the respective assignments as per below performance
indicators. Potential candidates will be contacted by hiring manager directly for further
consideration.
