Altenew Build-A-Flower: Cora Louise Peony Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi everyone and happy new year! We start off 2021 with a new release by Altenew, a blog hop and giveaways! YAY!

Altenew is releasing a new, gorgeous Build A Flower Set: the Cora Louise Peony! Absolutely stunning and it makes for some really easy and quick cards!

Just for You Card

I stamped the flower and the leaves using inks in the Spring Bouquet set (ALT | SSS | EH) and I die cut them with the coordinating dies. The sentiment I chose is also part of the Cora Louise Peony set. Perfect for any occasion!

I wanted this gorgeous flower to be the star of the show, but I also wanted to spice up my background I little. So I layered some white cardstock that I die cut with the Dotted Swirls Die (ALT | SBC | EH | SSS)…

…with a DIY woodgrain background. I showed how to make it in this video right here!

And that’s the card for today! Quick and easy but still really pretty!

thank you for sharing such a beautiful background and sharing the tip to create this with us. I love how you’ve used the white debossed panel sandwiched between the flower and the background. wishing you and yours a very happy new year

Hi, Laura – I love the card. I adore the cover plate that you used to give the main part of the card some texture, the way you colored the bloom and the leaves, and the dark solid band with the sentiment. It’s a winner!
I hope that 2021 will be an EXCELLENT year for you!
    Sincerely,
    Lori S in PA

Love your card. The addition of the die cut textured background and the old-school background base makes it special.

Beautiful card with gorgeous peonies and lovely colors. The backgrounds work very well with this and add a subtle touch which doesn’t detract from the focal point. I watched the video to see how you did the wood grain background and it is something I will definitely try out. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent and ideas with us. You inspire me. Happy New Year! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the bright, cheerful pop of color that you used on the Cora Louise Peony. We can all use some good cheer this time of year!

I wouldnโ€™t have thought to do a wood grain background for a delicate peony, but thatโ€™s why you are the professional. I like it.

Thanks for Sharing Your Thoughts! :)
