Bodywork

Coming into relationship with someone through bodywork is a vulnerable and beautiful process, of which no two sessions are alike. Chronic stress, anxiety, and fatigue have taken over the modern world, and with it the demand on the nervous system has intensified. The body processes the added stress, which is reflected in misalignment and discomfort. Utilizing stretches, ligament releases, and demonstrating supportive practices to use at home, we work together to bring balance to the body. In pregnancy, imbalance can affect fetal positioning and day to day comfort. Outside of pregnancy, occurrences like persistent jaw tension, constipation, headaches, or scar tissue could impact quality of life. Meeting clients where they’re at without judgment, assumption, or agenda is what I strive to provide through a body balancing session. Bodywork is a passion, and also a calling, through which I connect to my community, and myself.

Midwifery

Holistic reproductive healthcare considers the mental, physical, and social impacts life can have on the body throughout the reproductive lifetime. Visits are shaped around each individual and address nutrition, imbalance or discomfort in the body, and overall health and wellness. Preventative healthcare and wellness looks at a person as a whole, where you and your provider come up with a plan to improve or support your quality of health. Midwifery care in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is raw and intimate. Deep relationships are formed to support trust and safety in a person’s ability to birth, regardless of how or where a birth occurs. Bodywork is weaved into care, visits are paced along with the nervous system, and care is extended long after the fourth trimester.

My personal practice of midwifery values bodywork and relationships equally with counseling and compassion. If I view health as a process as well as a lived experience, I can work collaboratively with those I’m supporting. I’m committed to my work and the people I serve, and I’m humbled and honored to call myself a community midwife. I look forward to connecting with individuals and families to provide a rewarding and embodied experience.
