In a nutshell
Quick overview of accessibility requirements (the Sec. 508 Refresh), who’s responsible, and what software tools are needed.
See Bevi Chagnon’s slidedeck from her presentation at PDF Day earlier this year. It’s a good overview for bosses and managers, so feel free to pass it along to your higher ups.

So many fonts...how to choose?
Helpful links and tips about selecting and using fonts.
- PubCom’s "Got Dingbats" chart has a section on recommended fonts that are Unicode (OpenType) and can be embedded into document files (both requirements for accessibility). Many in the list are also open source which means they can be freely used in any document without additional fees to the font manufacturer. See www.pubcom.com/books/bevi_dingbats/dingbats_chart.shtml
The Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt Design Museum
