1st - 5th Grade Classroom Spelling Bee Information
1st through 5th Grade Classroom spelling bees will be conducted the week of November 4th. All students are automatically entered in the bee. The classroom round will be the traditional spelling only bee. If your child would like to study for this event, please have him or her click on the appropriate link(s) below. All winner and runner-up families will be notified by the end of the November 8th week.
Please note: Only the winners from 4th & 5th grade classrooms will move onto the School Wide Spelling Bee to be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 8 am. 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade winners & 1st - 5th grade runner-ups will receive a certificate and have their names announced to the school by Mr. Vance during afternoon announcements.
To begin studying for the CLASSROOM SPELLING BEE (NO VOCABULARY in this Round), please start with Level 1 words and work your way through to Level 3 words. If you exhaust the 3 lists and need more, please email Mrs. Neumeister at [email protected] in order to receive the words from the List of Champions. If you want to start working on vocabulary, please see the 19-20 Reading List.

School-wide Spelling Bee (4th & 5th Grades Only): November 19th
The classroom spelling bee winners will go on to compete in the school-wide spelling bee which will take place on Tuesday, November 19th at 8:-00 am in Room 131. Parents of classroom participants will be notified in advance and are welcome to attend!
The school-wide competition round will include BOTH spelling AND vocabulary. To prepare for school-wide Spelling and Vocabulary Bee, please click on the link below.
The winner's and alternate's names will be given to Fulton County Schools by December 6th. The winner (or potential alternate) will go on to compete for the Fulton County School title at 8:30 am on Saturday, January 11th, at Heards Ferry Elementary School.

- The Fulton County Spelling Bee will be held Saturday, January 11th at Heards Ferry Elementary School beginning promptly at 8:30 A.M.
- Our Winner, Aarav B., will represent us at this event. In the event he cannot attend, Akhilesh R. will take his place.
- The Bee will consist of both spelling words and vocabulary. Both the vocabulary & spelling bee will be oral.
- A study guide has been provided to the winner and runner-up (see below).
