St. Cloud State offers a five-day Graduate Student Writer’s Retreat designed to help graduate students make significant progress on writing their thesis or dissertation. It provides a distraction-free environment for dedicated writing time and optional one-on-one consultations with writing, library, and statistics experts. The retreat is designed to complement (not replace) what graduate programs are already doing and to provide graduate students with resources to overcome writing challenges and obstacles. Participants will develop individualized writing goals.

During the graduate student writer’s retreat, we will provide you with access to meet one-on-one with consultants to assist you. On the first day of the retreat, you will sign up for a 1 hour block to meet with consultants during the retreat.
Registration Fee: $125.00
- Students who participate in the full 5 days receive a $25.00 refund from the registration fee
- Students who elect not to stay the full 5 days receive no refund
