Wired Wednesdays: Exit Tickets and Data Checkpoints

“Afternoon, Ma’am. Do you know why I pulled you over? . . . No? Hmmmm. License and registration please.” You know why you got pulled over. So do your students. They know why you pulled them over to your u-table. Worse, they have that same sinking feeling. What if we could get formative assessment data without the pain? What if there was a routine in your room that told you (in real time, with no red pen) what your students gained from your lesson just minutes ago? What if today’s small group was really based upon today’s lesson? How would that knowledge change your classroom?

Bring a laptop, a class list and an assessment you’ve used in class - it could be a worksheet, test or anything else!
