Mural Dedication: Engage the Change

Join us to dedicate Engage the Change, a new mural from artist Ernel Martinez highlighting the experiences of General Colin L. Powell. Powell is the former chairman of the Eisenhower Fellowships, of which Jane Golden, Mural Arts Executive Director, has been a cohort member since 2003.

Through the Engage the Change project, Jane Golden helped connect our students with another esteemed Fellow, DHS Commissioner Cynthia Figueroa, to learn firsthand about the qualities and importance of being a leader. Students studied former Secretary of State Powell’s work, and created a design that highlights his dynamic public experiences.
