At 7:42 PM the Board of Trustees entered into a Public Hearing to Discuss the TAPR (Texas Academic Performance Report). The TAPR was presented by Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Dennis Muizers. The TAPR report may be found

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:54 PM and the Regular meeting resumed.
Shay Adams, Chief Financial Officer, introduced Doug Whitt with Samco Capital Markets who presented the Bond Program Update. Mr. Whitt’s presentation may be found

Following the Bond presentation, the Board of Trustees approved the following:
Adoption of an order authorizing the issuance of refunding bonds, establishing the parameters for the refunding of bonds and delegating authority to the administration to complete the refunding. (The order may be found

and
Approval of a resolution providing for the defeasance to the maturity date, February 15, 2021, for the District’s Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2010 and the defeasance to the first call date for the District’s Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2011, February 15, 2032, and providing for the redemption of the Series 2011 Bonds on said first call date. The Board of Trustees approved an order calling a Trustee election for May 1, 2021. The following positions will be on the ballot:
Position 3, held by Jeff Wood*
Position 6, held by Al Litchenburg
Position 7, held by Barrett Owens
The district will hold a joint election with Collin County and will enter into an agreement with the Collin County Elections Administrator to provide for the administration of the election. Voters may vote at the Lovejoy ISD Administration Building, Portable #1, or any Collin County Vote Center.

*The Lovejoy ISD Board of Trustees appointed Jeff Wood to fill the unexpired term of Position 3 on August 24, 2020. As an appointed seat, this position will expire in May of 2021. Additionally, the regular term of Position 3 will expire in May of 2022.
