Senator Jon Tester held Get Out the Vote rallies in three cities across western Montana. He was joined by Governor Steve Bullock, Democratic U.S. House candidate Kathleen Williams, Montana Supreme Court clerk candidate Rex Renk, and End Citizens United president Tiffany Muller.

In Missoula, hundreds of supporters cheered as they took the stage. Each of them stressing the importance of voting. Muller and Tester also spoke on why they believe the Citizens United decision should be overturned.

“Since Citizens United was upheld by the Supreme Court, we’ve seen unbelievable amounts of money come in,” said Tester.

He says the ruling has caused too much dark money to pour into elections. Something both sides of the aisle say is benefitting their opponent.

“If the figures are right that were said today -- $43 million spent on this race. That’s insane,” said Tester. “Let’s use that money to heat schools, or put roofs on courthouses, or build highways and broadband. I mean that would be a much better use of it. I’m not sure the electorate is any better informed because there are so many garbage ads out there.”

President Trump has visited Montana a record four times to stump for Matt Rosendale. Vice President Pence has made two trips to endorse Rosendale’s bid for the Senate. He’ll make his third trip on Monday. But Tester says he’s only focused on beating his opponent.

“When the tallies come up on Tuesday night there’s going to be two names up: Tester, Rosendale and there’s going to be a percentage by each one of them,” said Tester. “This is a race between myself and Matt Rosendale and who is best fit to serve Montana. Who is best fit to take back the rural perspective of this state and fight for it. It’s not about anybody else but us.”

Following the rally in Missoula, Tester held rallies in Hamilton and Butte. Tester will hold a rally at the University of Montana Monday morning before he completes his campaign sweep in Great Falls Monday night
