Join the city’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department at various city of Aurora community parks for another cinematic lineup of treasured classics and new favorites. Events will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a half-hour of entertainment, followed by the featured film at 6 p.m.

- Tuesday, May 28: "Finding Dory" (PG), Spencer Garrett Park, 1600 Joliet St.
- Wednesday, May 29: "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (G), Norfolk Glen Park, 15800 E. 17th Place
- Thursday, May 30: "The Marvels" (PG-13), Del Mar Park, 12000 E. Sixth Ave.
- Tuesday, June 4: "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" (G), Rocky Ridge Park, 16200 E. Mississippi Ave.
- Wednesday, June 5: "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" (PG), Hilltop Park, 3242 S. Richfield St.
- Thursday, June 13: "Barbie" (PG-13), Larkspur Park, 22551 E. Plymouth Circle

The We Are Aurora Youth program returns to Aurora recreation centers for summer break, May 28-Aug.

2! Teens ages 13 to 18 can receive FREE admission to participating recreation centers on weekdays from noon to 7 p.m.

Participating locations:
- Central Recreation Center, 18150 E. Vassar Place
- Moorhead Recreation Center, 2390 Havana St.
- Southeast Recreation Center and Fieldhouse, 25400 E. Alexander Drive

Youth must check in at the front desk and provide basic membership information to receive their free membership card. Staff-guided activities such as gift card competitions, dodgeball, volleyball, basketball and snack making stations will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on select days.

Free meals will be provided by Aurora Public Schools daily from 2 to 6 p.m.

• All libraries, closed. Aurora Public Library no longer charges late fees on overdue items; no holds expire on closed days.
• Aurora Animal Shelter, closed. For urgent animal-related matters that cannot wait until the next business day, call 303.627.3100.
• Aurora Center for Active Adults, closed
• Aurora History Museum, closed
• Aurora Reservoir, open 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Beck Recreation Center and Indoor Pool, closed
• Bicentennial Art Center, closed
• Central Recreation Center, closed

• Golf courses, open (weather permitting)
• Moorhead Recreation Center, closed
• Morrison Nature Center, closed
• Plains Conservation Center, closed

Kalama Polynesian Dancers kicks off Summer Jams and Storytime with a special performance at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, May 30, at Del Mar Park, 12000 E. 6th Ave., followed by the movie “The Marvels,” as part of a special collaboration with Parks, Recreation and Open Space’s Park “Lights and Movie Nights.” 🍿

Aurora Rhythms starts with an exciting performance by The Reminders, a rare and remarkable musical duo with soulful vocals and reggae-tinged hip-hop beats, Tuesday, June 18, at the Aurora Fox Arts Center, 9900 E. Colfax Ave. 🎶
