First Bob will speak on The Spirtuality of Laughter: A Jewish Look at the Holiness of Humor. He will explore humor in ancient and modern Jewish tradition, and consider why laughter has been such an integral part of Jewish culture. He will examine:

Rabbi Bob Alper is the world’s only clergyman doing stand-up comedy, intentionally. He will join us for a thoughtful and hilarious evening of comedy.
  • Why are Jews so funny?!
  • The psychological, physical, and spiritual value of clean, unhurtful comedy
  • Humor as a coping mechanism in times of transition, celebration and stress
  • Laughter’s critical role in tikkun olam, including a special focus on Bob’s Laugh in Peace Tour with Christian and Muslim comedians


But there is more! Bob will also entertain us with a stand-up performance that will have us rolling in the aisles, or next to our computers. Prepare for a side-splitting time!
