So far, I've read the Max Monroe and the Ilsa Madden-Mills - but I will come back to the other stories in this Anthology ... one day!
Here are my reviews for those two books:
MAX MONROE - TAPPING THE BILLIONAIRE!
Never mix business with pleasure.
That is or rather has always been both Kline & Georgia's motto.
But now Georgia suddenly gets invited to dinner by her hot-as-hell boss Mr. Kline Brooks - Mazillionaire!!!
Ok, he says he's only asking her because she was at the right place at the right time and because he won't survive another one of his mom's blind-dates. But he also said that he thinks she's fucking hot.
So, of course 26-year-old-virgin Georgia said yes!
Even though she was almost ready to date her dating-app-flirt @BAD_Ruck.
What she doesn't know, of course, is .... Kline IS her dating-app dick-pic-flirt. Only it wasn't his dick in that message, but that's another story....
Can Georgia really date her boss?
Will he run screaming once he finds out she's a virgin?
Will they both cheat with their app-flirts? Or is it even cheating when it's themselves their cheating with?
Or will one of them find out who the app-flirt is??
Lots of questions - lots of stuff happening until we might see a Happily Ever After on the horizon...
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH KLINE & GEORGIA??

Eeeeep - KLINE BROOKS is finally on my kindle!
I was really looking forward to reading it - even though I still have NO idea which 2 authors make up the author-duo of Max Monroe. I guessed a lot, but nothing has been confirmed yet. ☺
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS STORY!
It's a pretty long book - I was somehow expecting something shorter - no idea why ☺
It was hilariously funny and sexy and in some scenes you want to put your hands in front of your eyes or run away screaming - that's where you poor english people are missing one word: FREMDSCHÄMEN!!!
That's when you're totally embarassed about what someone is doing or saying or what is happening to someone, that you just can't watch or even want to hide or run away.... That happened here a few times.☺☺☺
The supporting cast is amazing!!!!
Georgia's friend and colleague Dean! Hilariously over-gay!
Georgia's best friend and room-mate Cassie - who breaks out in spontaneous songs about the most ridiculous/inappropriate topics. (Btw. Cassie will be next book's heroine - she'll be paired with Kline's best friend Thatcher - who is just as inappropriate and hilarious.)

If I had to name someting I didn't like?? Hm - maayyyybe the Cover. Yes, I love it - the cover is sexy and hot and all - BUT - it doesn't fit the book. In my opinion it cheapens the story a tiny bit. We have this hot-as-hell CEO guy in a suit most of the time and the cover-guy is not really our Kline :/ I don't really know what I mean, but I think the story should not be judged by this cover and it probably will. Yes, we have very sexy and funny moments in this book - A LOT OF THEM - but it's not only this tiny little, funny, sexy romance like the cover suggests by being all sexy, white and pinkish ☺.
I would've preferred a cover with a suited guy with a girl at his side...maybe both holding phones or pfff - what do I know. I'm not a cover-maker ☺☺☺ No offense dear cover-maker ☺

She doesn't know who is behind those texts for half the book. But Maverick shows up in her life all the time too!

They would be perfect together - both have had hard moments in their lives. Maverick still has to fight hard for things to be ok in his personal and professional life.

It wasn't anything new or mega exciting. I've read a million sexy and funny sports romances. And even lots of those had a cute nerdy girl. BUT - I love those books!!!! I love football romances. And this one was so sweet and funny and sexy and moving ... I loved Maverick and Delaney!
Even though I have NOTHING in common with Delaney - I hate cats & Star Wars and I've never seen The Princess Bride!!! ☺ But we both love sexy football players! ☺
And we can all agree that we hate Muffin!! Why is there always one of those mega b*tches in every college romance!?

...it didn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes. Well, not my eyes, but other women's eyes. I was sure he was easy on their eyes. My eyes knew not to look at him.
Ok, he says he's only asking her because she was at the right place at the right time and because he won't survive another one of his mom's blind-dates. But he also said that he thinks she's fucking hot.
So, of course 26-year-old-virgin Georgia said yes!
Even though she was almost ready to date her dating-app-flirt @BAD_Ruck.

Eeeeep - KLINE BROOKS is finally on my kindle!
I was really looking forward to reading it - even though I still have NO idea which 2 authors make up the author-duo of Max Monroe. I guessed a lot, but nothing has been confirmed yet. ☺
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS STORY!
It's a pretty long book - I was somehow expecting something shorter - no idea why ☺
It was hilariously funny and sexy and in some scenes you want to put your hands in front of your eyes or run away screaming - that's where you poor english people are missing one word: FREMDSCHÄMEN!!!
That's when you're totally embarassed about what someone is doing or saying or what is happening to someone, that you just can't watch or even want to hide or run away.... That happened here a few times.☺☺☺
The supporting cast is amazing!!!!
Georgia's friend and colleague Dean! Hilariously over-gay!
Georgia's best friend and room-mate Cassie - who breaks out in spontaneous songs about the most ridiculous/inappropriate topics. (Btw. Cassie will be next book's heroine - she'll be paired with Kline's best friend Thatcher - who is just as inappropriate and hilarious.)

The Worst Best Man by Lucy Score: First things first, this book is so good that I started rereading it after finishing it. THAT NEVER HAPPENS, but this book is EMOTIONAL PERFECTION!
A little history of our Hero and heroine.
Frankie: A sassy, stubborn, brilliant girl studying for her MBA. Lives in Brooklynn (which is basically equivalent to the wrong side of the tracks) Her family owns a sandwich shop. She has two brothers, a mother who is desperate for grandchildren, and a father who loves The Price Is Right.
Aiden: PERFECTION! Okay. Okay. So the guy is super sexy and obscenely rich, but WAIT! Don't hold that against him. HE IS SO MUCH MORE!!!! He is a good guy. Seriously, he doesn't mess up! YOU WILL LOVE HIM, trust me! He just made his way to #1 book boyfriend EVER!
The story:
We start with an upcoming wedding of Frankie's best friend, Pru (Pruitt), and Chip. The wedding party is full of snotty, rich, sexy, well-to-do jerks, and Frankie is somehow managing to survive them. Then there is a kidnapping, and an awesome, little school-age felon named Antonio plays a part in the rescue. It's Lucy Score writing this, would we expect any less? And this is where my review gets tough. Frankie and Aiden have "the connection" you know, the one every couple in all epic love stories have, yeah they have that. It is so strong and this story flows so wonderfully that I was only able to feel the words. Putting the absolute perfection of this story into educated thought is proving to be impossible. Lucy does such a masterful job of conveying Aiden and Frankie's journey that you feel as if you were on it with them. YOU WANT TO READ THIS BOOK. You will be thanking me, and begging Lucy Score for more.

Mav is the strong, confident, independent hot football player who will do anything for his family, a family who haven’t had it easy and if he can make things better for them he will do whatever it takes.
Delaney is loyal, kind, strong and fully understands the problems families can cause could this nerd and the jock become the perfect couple......

I Dare You is Ilsa’s next swoony, funny, and sexy romance. I don’t know how she does it but her books just keep getting better and better. My blog partner, Kara warned me that once I started reading it, I would not want to put it down. She was so fucking right. It only took me a few hours to devour it.
It all started with a bonfire, a legend, and a kiss that neither of them would ever forget...
Two years and one cheating ex-boyfriend later, Delaney has sworn off football players and spending V-Day on the couch with her teddy bear and vodka. She was lonely on the day for couples in love. Until, some interesting texts from a stranger start making her night awhile lot more interesting. She has no idea who he is but he makes her smile. What she didn’t know yet was that he was Maverick Monroe. The one who was on the other end of that unforgettable kiss. But, just because it was memorable, it doesn’t mean it was meant to be. He is after-all, a football player. The best one. The arrogant one. The one who could not only break her heart but shattered it if she lets him.
Maverick has waited long enough. He wants Delaney. She might not seem like his type but she is his wet dream. Like I said, I devoured this book! I love Delaney! She is my kinda girl. I want to be her friend when I grow up. Lol. But, really, she is strong, sassy, smart, and has the best clothes. I also ❤️ Maverick! He is the perfect blend of cocky, funny, and sweet. I loved him at the bonfire but fell for him hard two years later. He knows the way to Delaney’s heart but will he stay there? Love isn’t easy for these two. But, what a fucking ride. A fun, sexy, and swoony ride that I didn’t want to end.
Overall...I just loved the way they were together. The banter. The connection. The heat. The love. The fight. The laughter. Not gonna lie, I laughed so hard I snorted more than once.

Restraint is the first book in the Mason Family series by the very talented, Adriana Locke. I read Restraint as a short story in the back of her book, Cross two years ago and I wanted more!! When Adriana announced she was giving us just that I was so excited and for it to be the start of a new series, I was super excited. She did a fantastic job of connecting the families together.
It was supposed to be a one-night stand. It was also supposed to be just a three-day vacation forced upon Blaine but her overbearing brothers who know her well. She is a workaholic who needed a much needed break. She had no idea that the vacation was going to change her life. It all started in an airport...
Holt was late but he didn’t give one fuck once he saw her. She was beautiful, smart, and witty and he wanted her. He wanted to take her to dinner and then have her for dessert, but he was shot down. I also ❤️ Maverick! He is the perfect blend of cocky, funny, and sweet. I loved him at the bonfire but fell for him hard two years later. He knows the way to Delaney’s heart but will he stay there? Love isn’t easy for these two. But, what a fucking ride. A fun, sexy, and swoony ride that I didn’t want to end.
Overall...I just loved the way they were together. The banter. The connection. The heat. The love. The fight. The laughter. Not gonna lie, I laughed so hard I snorted more than once.

Kline Brooks has been my Number One book boyfriend since the first time I read their story in TAPPING THE BILLIONAIRE. He is the consummate professional, creates a great working environment for his employees, he’s humble, sweet, a gentleman and treats Georgie like a precious treasure. And he’s a freak in the sheets. He’s the calm to her crazy and the patience to her panic. He enjoys every up and down in their life as if it is a gift.
The book is about their journey to finding each and becoming a couple. The story is hilarious. As if the ridiculous comments and situations were not enough, meeting the parents gets a whole new dimension in this book. The secondary characters are important to the story especially Kline’s friends Thatch and Wes, Georgie’s friend Cassie, and Georgie’s brother Will.

The destination wedding in Barbados was a rousing start to the partnership of Aiden and Francesca yet the real fireworks and drama started when they got home. The characters are so colorful and carefully nurtured. I adored the Baranski family Sunday lunch complete with the soundproof kitchen. I laughed out loud, swooned, adored Aiden, wanted to be Francesca, and felt all their emotions with them due to such a wonderful writer.

I am so excited for this! I have read four of the ten so far and loved them all.
Rockaway Bride by Pippa Grant
Laugh out loud funny. Willow is a completely fresh and irresistible heroine. Dax is the bad boy that girls dream about and he is hot-hot-hot.
This book is full of ridiculously funny situations, seriously attractive (on all levels) characters, and a love story about finding love for the person you really are. I recommend this to anyone needing a love story with some laughs included.
( Note: I did not realize when I started this book that other books by this author precede this one and that those characters make appearances in this book. Though this book is great as a stand alone I will be going back and reading these books from the beginning order now-because I am OCD like that.)
8/10/22: I listened to the audio of this book as a reread. The book is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. The characters were just as funny the second time around. Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke do an amazing job bringing the characters and their story to life. I am truly in awe of their talents. Each one was able to voice the other characters in a believable way during their chapters. This was a great way to revisit an old favorite.
Faking Ms. Right by Claire Kingsley
I have a confession to make. I have a lot of books by this author on my TBR. I even own several based on other reader recommendations. But this is my first book by this author. Now I know that I will be moving her other books up the list and reading them soon.
This billionaire boss-fake engagement book certainly follows the tropes, yet felt fresh. Everly's character was one to fall completely in love with-pure sunshine. Shepherd was a complex and layered character that the reader meets a little at a time. Together they are a complete swoon-fest. The heat between these two is C-R-A-Z-Y. I really loved how they built trust and the roles that extended family play in their love story. Shep's dad is really a cutie.
I could not stop thinking about this book after I finished it. In fact, I barely slept last night. But in the end, isn't that a mark of a good book?
This book is written in first person from a dual POV.
My reread of this was through the audiobook version and it was amazing! Both narrators are incredible talented. I was blown away by their ability to have several different voices for the characters in their chapters. Mr. Clarke as drunk Shep is something I will never forget. Ms. Wilder is the perfect Emma. I loved this even more the second time around.
Ignite by Melanie Harlow
This is the beginning of a next generation Cloverleigh Farms series. I own but have not yet read the original series, but this book works fine as a standalone. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.
Dex is determined to keep his belief that happily ever after does not exist and has resigned himself to being alone. Winnie is literally the girl next door who is full of optimism and wisdom beyond her years. I adore her unfailing belief in true love and forevers. Dex has two little girls who will melt any reader's heart. They are adorable! This book has lots of heat, an age-gap, an embarrassing grand gesture and a super-sweet HEA. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read with laughter and romantic moments along with a few tears. I love that Winnie stands firm in her beliefs of love and I love it when Dex overcomes his fears to love her the way she deserves. I ended up reading this book over three days, which is unusual for me, but only because life got in the way. If you like a single dad romance with a younger woman, you will not want to miss this one.
Boss in the Bedsheets by Kate Canterbary
This office romance is written in first person with dual POV. Readers will be surprised that there are times during the narrative that the characters break the fourth wall and address the reader directly. This book is very character driven. The story is moved forward through each character's feelings and self-talk as opposed to actions and events. Each of them has to work through these new and challenging emotions and that process is described fully as part of the narrative.
There is some dominant/submissive play in this book. Though I felt the author made it clear that all of the play was fully consensual, this may not be for all readers. Along with some very hot scenes, there is witty banter, and some funny moments throughout the book. There is no cheating and a sexy, emotional HEA.
Ash may be the most control-freak hero I have ever read. He hangs onto everything in his life by being the one who gets things done. He has definite trust issues about letting anyone else do anything that he can do better. At the beginning of the book, he is feeling the pressure he has placed on himself and is near crumbling. Zelda is running. She is starting over, making a new life for herself, and trying to avoid making the same mistakes that have patterned her life. When these two meet, they instantly challenge each other. Zelda has Ash pegged very quickly and is able to read him, his feelings, and his motivations. Ash is blown away by Zelda and that she can see the real him underneath all of his growly, grumpy, exterior. They share an instant connection where they fell an intrinsic need to touch each other in small ways.
These two share an almost instant love, which they both deny but cannot fight. They are like two pieces of a puzzle drawn together. I loved reading as Ash has all these feelings and has no clue what to do with them. I appreciated Zelda's struggle to allow herself feelings for Ash while questioning if she was repeating past mistakes, and trying to make new and better choices as she starts over. I love Zelda's sweet and generous heart and I really enjoyed reading as she finally gets loved the way she deserves by Ash and his family. She can see Ash's sweet and gooey center and it makes him something very special. I love that these two are able to be vulnerable with each other very quickly. They share truths and fears which allow a faster than normal progression of their relationship. I really enjoyed how close they become, and the trust they build, before they ever close the deal physically. I found this story very romantic. I love how the characters have rough edges that match up perfectly with each other. I will be thinking about this one for a long time.

Nothing like a fantastic Beach Read. And I'm ecstatic to see Tapping the Billionaire included. Kline and Georgia are just so funny, the dynamics are fast and furious. And you can't go wrong with Thatch and Cassie dropped into the story. Highly recommend this one and look forward to reading the rest.

The interaction between the characters was very entertaining. I was rooting for them the whole time. It's one of those books I'll reread. I can not wait for I Bet You. I know it'll be just as awesome as I Dare You. Read this book!

This was overall a nicely curated collection of modern romances by a variety of authors who I will now read more of. Only one did I quit reading because it was just so bad. The rest were all at least 3 stars.

Winnie, bless her beautiful self, is able to see behind that rough, seemingly uncaring exterior. Which is why she is so deserving of this perfectly imperfect man.
Also in need of recognition is the amazing Amelia, best friends to both Byron and Winnie.
There really isn't anything else to add other than if you haven't already bought this book on the basis of Penny's reputation, then think of how awesome and loved Cletus is, multiply the power of ten to that , and you have just how much Byron impacted me.

I have read several books in this box set, and even own many of them. That did not stop me from grabbing this amazing beach reads collection. 11 FREE books by many of my favorite authors. You seriously cannot go wrong here.
Flirting with the Frenemy by Pippa Grant
Wyatt discovers that he has more to offer Ellie than he thinks he does. Ellie has to learn that she deserves someone like Wyatt. This book includes the things we expect from a Pippa novel including dildos, goats, a pirate wedding, and a swearing parrot. It also contains tight relationships with friends that can be depended on to overcome obstacles.
I really enjoyed this book. Ellie has an emotional journey, and she comes out stronger for it. Wyatt is a hero with a heart of gold. Reading about his feelings for his son should make any woman swoon.
Laughs, lust and love with an understanding of each other based on a long history.
I love this whole series and this book gets it started.
Broken Miles by Claire Kingsley
This is one of the best written second chance romances I have ever read. I love that it shows both Roland and Zoe recognizing what they did wrong the first time around. I also appreciated that the reasons their relationship fell apart the first time were realistic and not some contrived event or misunderstanding. I love that their history allowed them to read each other and support each other. They have smoking hot chemistry and a tender appreciation for each other as they rebuild trust together.
Secondary characters are very enjoyable. All of the characters are well-developed, and I felt like I knew them. The setting is beautiful and now I am dying to visit central Washington wineries. There is also a bit of intrigue to the plot with Lawrence and the winery. Overall, I absolutely loved it.
Restraint by Adriana Locke
Blair is confident in her professional life. She is a fierce lawyer who is used to being in charge. Holt is CEO of a huge family company and used to being in charge. I loved reading about these two as they learn to cede power to each other at different times. I love that they open up and becomes vulnerable with each other. They have some amazing chemistry and are VERY HOT together. Their banter is fun, and I love that they both have close families that they rely on. The family relationships each of them have are real, supportive, and fun to read. They have a sweet HEA, and I look forward to reading more about them as the series continues.
This book is written in first person from dual POV.
Tapping the Billionaire by Max Monroe
Book one of the Bad Boy Billionaire series lays the groundwork for all the characters. Georgia and Kline have a workplace romance that also includes a little bit of a You’ve Got Mail vibe. Their friends are crazy. The humor is top notch. There is plenty of heat in the bedroom. Kline has ALL the swoon. Georgia is fiery and fierce. I really love this book and the wedding HEA that brought tears to my eyes and sets them up for their future. This laugh-out-loud book hooked me on Max Monroe a few years ago. The reread was just as enjoyable as the first read was then. I just love this author duo.
The Worst Best Man by Lucy Score
I love everything about Aidan and Frankie. Laugh out loud funny. Lots of heat. Crazy relatives. An exotic location. Friends and enemies. And a kidnapping and rescue. All of this makes this book one you should never miss. Frankie is spunky, determined, and more than a little bit fearless. Aidan is grumpy and completely into Frankie because she is so different from the women he normally associates with in his life. Tons of heat, lots of laughs, likable, well-developed characters, and story. This is an all-around winner.

Whether your jam is enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, hot single dad or just a good ole' love story, Pippa Grant covers it all with Flirting with the Frenemy. Wyatt and Ellie are my new favorite couple in the pippaverse. They have known each other since childhood and had this odd competitive relationship. They are brought back together for a week of celebrating and preparing for a friend's pirate wedding. Yes, Pirate Wedding! Wyatt is the hot single military dad to the adorable Tucker. Ellie and Wyatt have some unfinished business after a run in 6 months ago. Due to some unfortunate yet hilarious events the two try to remain friends for everyone's safety. Ellie is quick witted and the banter among the entire cast of characters is so entertaining. With all the funny, the underlying love story grabbed hold and held my heart captive until the very end. You will have a smile on your face as you devour this book.

While these two try to avoid each other during this temporary visit, the chemistry between them when thrown together during one encounter after another is explosive!
While Roland and Zoe will draw you in with the tension and their passion, you can’t help but fall in love with the Miles family. Brother Leo is the security guru who holes up in his cottage as a reclusive savant with computers. Brother Cooper is the vineyard master with a purple thumb, talking constantly and best friends with Chase, the winery’s mechanic. My favorite scene includes these two trying to comfort Zoe with a break up box! Trust me this will have you laughing out loud. Their antics on top of the sizzling sex scenes, the intrigue about the winery’s trouble, issues with Shannon and Lawrence (the patriarchs), and sister Brynn’s impromptu visit, will keep you turning pages and wanting more.
While many would call this a second chance romance I believe it is more a reunion. As the first book of the series we get such a good insight into the family dynamics and the characters are so well developed. I am anxiously awaiting more from this crazy group, especially Cooper and Chase.

However, Lucy does one better and gives us Frankie and Aiden. These two start off as the maid of honor and best man at a destination wedding. The bridal party was one I could hate on for days and made for some hilarious scenarios. Frankie and Aiden go through a lot of hoops to get their friends hitched and it is an adventure you don't want to miss.
However, the fun doesn't end there. This isn't a cliche, no insta love in Barbados! We get the whole chebang! We get to go home with Frankie and meet the Baranski family. And then Aiden does too because he's not taking no for an answer from Frankie! He wants a chance, and while she's reluctant he is even more persistent.
Aiden is going to melt your kindle! This is a must read and now a must reread for me. Lucy Score does it again!

So much joy!
Is Pippa Grant a humorous romance author? You bet she is. But what readers often overlook is the depth of emotion also present in her writing. This book especially. There are so many laugh out loud moments in this book, and with every laugh, there is a counterbalance of seriousness, a depth that I could not resist. Dare I say this is Pippa Grant’s best book to date? And since it’s the start of a new series, this is the perfect book to jump into! I loved this book!

I say this for every Lucy Score book. This is her best book yet. Her writing gets better and tighter. And all these things are true. This book has everything. Multi-faceted main characters that make me want to crawl into the book and live with them. Perfectly evil conflict characters that are oh, so fun to hate on. Comedic relief in the form of a loud and loving family. And a best friend that is the touchstone and the unexpected heart of this book.
Aiden Kilbourn is a millionaire several times over. He specializes in buying things. Companies, loyalties, skeletal high-born women dripping in jewels and silk. I loved every word of this book! Claire Kingsley created a vivid world that I want to live in! The setting was lovely and dreamy. The secondary characters were interesting and lively. The main characters real, flawed, and charismatic. The storyline tight and intriguing. I hope to hear more from this family!

So much joy!
Is Pippa Grant a humorous romance author? You bet she is. But what readers often overlook is the depth of emotion also present in her writing. This book especially. There are so many laugh out loud moments in this book, and with every laugh, there is a counterbalance of seriousness, a depth that I could not resist. Dare I say this is Pippa Grant’s best book to date? And since it’s the start of a new series, this is the perfect book to jump into! I loved this book!

I say this for every Lucy Score book. This is her best book yet. Her writing gets better and tighter. And all these things are true. This book has everything. Multi-faceted main characters that make me want to crawl into the book and live with them. Perfectly evil conflict characters that are oh, so fun to hate on. Comedic relief in the form of a loud and loving family. And a best friend that is the touchstone and the unexpected heart of this book.
