Tropical Jungle Mixed Media Card
Tropical Jungle is definitely my new favorite stamp set. It reminds me of hiking in Hawaii back when we flew away for summer vacation. That being said, I wanted to create a lush rainforest feel with this stamp set. Hang with me to the end of the video so you can see the gel printing I did in my art journal to prep for the card.
Dovetail Butterflies Mixed Media Card
The lovely butterflies in this Dovetail Butterflies Stamp Set are remarkably life-size. Here I used Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape down the center of the butterflies and folded the wings up for dimension. As a bonus, the butterflies are die-cut from double-sided gel printed paper. There are different colors and designs on the backsides.
Simply Spring Mixed Media Card
This card is so simple to make. I just grabbed a book page I used to clean off my brayer during gel printing and used the Simply Spring Stamp & Die Bundle. Easy peasy! The sentiment is made with the Simply Hello Die and a sub-sentiment from the Hello & Hugs Stamp Set.

I love your mixed media angle card. You stamped the background on premium copy paper instead of cardstock. Is that what you always use for gel press? Why?
Thanks, Pam! Yes, I like to use cover-weight copy paper in lieu of cardstock for gel printing. It’s thinner and pulls the prints well, but it’s also less expensive. I typically pull a bunch of prints per session and the thinner paper is easier to tear and layer for collages without getting too bulky.
I also don’t add a card base to my cards until I’m ready to send them. It’s easier to take the flat lay photos without a card base and they’re easier to store as card fronts. So since I always create on cardfronts and I’m going to glue it to a base anyway, using thinner paper works well for me.
I also use the same paper for Copic coloring. It’s super smooth and the markers blend well and it can be put in the automatic feeder of your printer without jamming when I use digital stamps.
Lol, lots of reasons here, so I will make a note to share this in one of my future videos.

Loved your cards and also your journal pages. That’s a great way to clean your brayer. Who, but you, would have thought to save those cleaning pages and use them. They were lovely especially the one where you stamped the flower spray and then cut it out. Love watching you.
Aw, thanks, Patricia! Think about all the things you can brayer off on. Maybe pattern paper that needs some sprucing up or background patterns you don’t love or got messed up. Lots of options!
