  • A Time to Tell: A writing and mindfulness workshop exclusively for survivors of sexual trauma led by Donna Jenson.
  • Beyond ACEs: Intentional and Unintentional Consequences for Trauma Screening co-led by Chrys Ballerano and Deb Faust in collaboration with Luz Marquez and Tracy Frisch. This workshop will be a conversation that reflects on the need for heightened awareness for how the use of ACE screenings are used with survivors and why they may not be useful for many folks in need of support. We will explore questions such as How do we encourage healing? And how do we create safe spaces both in this work and in communities?
  • The Power of Music and Silence to HealJoin Sharon Lastique, Certified Health Coach, and licensed Zumba instructor, in an exploration of how sound and silence affect our mood, energy levels, and breathing. We will move our bodies to a global soundtrack, stretch, elevate our heart rates and use calming breathing techniques to easily shift our thoughts and our mood. Come ready to have fun and stretch yourself.
  • Self-led self-care: An open space with art and wellness supplies to support any individual who chooses to reflect individually or with a peer(s) rather than engage in any of the workshop offerings.

2:15- 2:30 Break

2:30-3:30 Community Drum Circle led by Chrys Ballerano: This workshop will be an interactive experience where participants will get to connect with their own innate sense of play and the healing, gentle power of rhythm. Participants are invited to bring their own drum or percussion instrument. Many instruments will be provided by the presenter. (enough for 75 people to share). An atmosphere of gentle safety will be maintained. This workshop will invite participants to connect with their own heartbeats and play in community as we enjoy a circle of rhythm that is fun for people of all levels of drumming experiences.
