Undergraduate Research Positions Database

If you or your graduate student is looking for an undergraduate research assistant, you can post the opportunity to our Research Positions Database. Graduate students do need faculty permission to post positions in the database. The database is password-protected so that only students who have been to a “How to: Get Started in Undergraduate Research” or met with an OUR Peer Advisor can access the contact information for each opportunity. This ensures that students looking at the database have some basic knowledge about undergraduate research and have started to prepare for research.

SRA Site Visit

Each summer, the Office of Undergraduate Research hosts the Summer Research Academy, a three-day introduction to research course for about 100 undergraduates from all disciplines. One of the most popular parts of the course-event is the site visits to different research spaces on campus, in which faculty get to talk directly to the students about the work that they are doing. This can be a great way to recruit interested undergraduate researchers.
