Day Sit

Saturday, June 15 | 8:30AM – 5:30PM

Join us for our day long retreat in the Rinzai tradition: seated and walking meditation, chanting, qigong and a dharma talk. Our teacher will be Eko Jeff Kelley. He will discuss, “Turning and Being Turned: All Beings and the Self in Mutual Assistance.” The retreat is offered in person on Vashon Island and on Zoom.

Hana Matsuri

Sunday, May 12 | 10:00 AM – 12 noon

Please join us on Sunday, May 12th, for a celebration of the Buddha’s Birthday. We’ll commemorate the birth of Siddhartha Gautama, ~2500 years ago. Abbot Koshin Cain will tell the story of the Buddha’s birth. All (especially children) are welcome to join us washing the baby Buddha with flowers and sweet tea. Afterwards, Birthday Cake will be served.
