Notice of Motion from Mayor A. Thompson and Chief G.R.S. Laforme
 

Whereas Indigenous Peoples have unique and enduring relationships with the land that they lived on and cared for throughout the ages;
 
Whereas we acknowledge the significance of the land which we gather and call home;
 
Whereas this land is part of the Treaty and Traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation;
 
Now therefore be it resolved, that the Town of Caledon has a desire to strengthen its relationship with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation community and to develop a greater understanding of the importance of the preservation and importance of the Traditional lands; and
 
Further that we continue to stay connected and work closely together to protect the land and all its natural features and significance for generations yet to come.
