Dear Enso Karate Students and Families,

Same Schedule: Our schedule will remain the same as it is in December, with classes at the South Loop, Oak Park, and Zoom. It's always available for reference at www.EnsoKarate.com/schedule.

More Events: We've always enjoyed hosting both big exciting events that bring together the entire karate community -- such as tournaments and seminars -- as well as small community events just for us to enjoy each other's company. We have several fun things planned over Winter Break (Dec. 24 - Jan. 2) and throughout January. Details are always available at www.EnsoKarate.com/events.

New Rates for 2022: We also wanted to share with you as soon as possible that we will be changing our monthly rates beginning in January 2022. We will, of course, continue to offer discounts for auto-renew ($5/month), family ($5/month), and full-time college student ($30/month).

Please email [email protected] by December 27 to make any changes to your tuition option.

Please know that we don't make these rate changes lightly. We analyzed a number of factors to determine these rates, including current pricing at other local martial arts and specialized fitness centers as well as the high costs of doing business in a downtown location. You may recall that before the pandemic our rates hadn't increased since 2018, and tuition was reduced by 8-14% at the start of the pandemic to reflect the different online experience.

As we look toward 2022, we are eager and excited to share our new dojo home with a growing student population -- those of you who kept training throughout the pandemic, those of you who will be returning to the dojo now that we have a new space, and new students who will begin their journeys with us in the new year. Together, we have no doubt Enso will go into our 20th year as strong as we've ever been.

No Regularly Scheduled Classes

There are several parking options in the area, including paid lots on either side of our building and meters. For the metered spots, please note that the meters on LaSalle along the side of the building ARE NOT available after 5pm on the weekdays. You can check using ParkChicago for other options (ex., on Clark Street).

We were able to continue a discount with Hunter Parking for Enso Karate students (during classes only) which is located at 549 S. Wells Street (on the Northeast corner of Wells and Harrison.) The cost is $2 which should be paid to Enso. We have some parking signs at the dojo which you can put in your dashboard, or you can print your own Enso parking sign. You may notice that some people have set-up tents on Harrison under the train tracks between LaSalle and Financial. Please be mindful of that when selecting where to park.

We have a men's and a women's changing room inside our dojo, as well as restrooms accessible from the hallway just outside our dojo.

In line with public health guidance, masks will continue to be required during in-person classes for students and guests. We are not requiring pre-registration at this time.

Kick off the new year with a fun and friendly karate tournament hosted by Enso Karate and Adamson's Karate Studios.

The Enso character shirt is back! Due to supply chain shortages, we're only offering it in BLACK, but it will be available in all youth and adult sizes -- and as a HOODIE too!

We're getting some of our beloved "Enso characters" printed on vinyl stickers. These 3x3.5" stickers are perfect for water bottles, laptops, and phone cases!

This black "slouch"-style hat will come in black with an Enso logo embroidered in gold. Who doesn't want this to keep their head warm after a sweaty night of training at the new dojo?!
