Sure, Coloradans tend to hear the stereotype that 'everyone drives a Subaru or Jeep in the Centennial State,' but often, stereotypes aren't true. That's the case when it comes to Colorado's most popular vehicle.

A publication called Road and Truck sought to determine which vehicle was the most popular in every state by looking at all new car sales, and in Colorado, a pick-up truck came out on top.

The Ford F-150 was the most sold vehicle in Colorado, according to the Road and Truck data. It accounted for 4.1 percent of all vehicle sales during a calendar year.

That might be a bit surprising to some, but Colorado's top pick followed suit with a national trend. In 32 states, a pick-up truck was determined to be the most-sold vehicle, with new vehicle purchasers in 20 of those states opting for the Ford F-150.

The 'F-150' claim is backed up by a Visual Capitalist report citing data from Edmunds that shows the Ford F series is Colorado's top pick. Meanwhile, World Population Review expands on the rankings with data related to all 2022 new vehicle sales, also placing the F series in first place in Colorado, followed by the Toyota RAV4 in second, the Ram 1500/2500/3500/ in third, and finally the Subaru Cross trek in 4th, followed by the Toyota Tacoma in fifth.

This data is all about new vehicle purchases. If we were talking total vehicles on the road, old and new, which models would you see the most in Colorado? Let us know in the comments.
