About my research

My research interests are focused on studying household behavior. Recently, I have been focused on how consumption relates to housing prices and the effects of public education spending on private education spending. My upcoming work explores taxation of real estate and its effect on economic growth. Long-term, I plan to examine the relationship between public school quality and housing choices.

My approach to answering economic questions involves the use of micro data sets with applied econometric techniques and solving advanced macroeconomic models numerically.

Current Research:

House Prices and Consumption in the United States (Real Estate Economics)

Public and Private Inputs for K-12 Education: Substitutes or Complements? (Working Paper)

Housing Taxation and Economic Growth: Analysis of a Balanced-Growth Model with Residential Capital (Working Paper)

About my teaching

I have taught numerous sections of Introduction to Microeconomics, Introduction to Macroeconomics and Statistics for Business & Economics at Indiana University, Ball State University and Georgia Gwinnett College. I have also taught Intermediate Macroeconomics. Ensuring that students enjoy their first exposure to Economics is a responsibility that I take very seriously because it is the most important way to ensure the health of the field in the future.
