COVID-19 Updates
A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared on 4U4-7 as of April 8, 2024. Outbreak management has been initiated and appropriate infection prevention and control measures are being taken.
Any staff illness that may be attributed to this outbreak are being managed by Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OESH).
Outbreak protocols have been implemented at the hospital to ensure the ongoing protection of patients, staff and visitors.
To help stop the spread of COVID-19 the following measures have been implemented:
- Limited patient admissions to 4U4-7 as per Shared Health Guidelines.
- Limited access for visitors and Designated Family Caregivers to patients on 4U4-7 as per Shared Health Guidelines. We encourage families to continue virtual visits with their loved ones.
Visitor Access
We support visitor access in non-outbreak inpatient areas along with access for Designated Caregivers in outpatient and Urgent Care services as per the Visitor Access Guidelines.
Visiting Hours: 8:00am-8:30pm | enter via the Leila Ave. entrance.

Masks Recommended
For general visitors, designated care providers and individuals seeking care, masks will be readily available and strongly encouraged, but will not be required except in areas where an immunocompromised population is receiving care. Signage will indicate where masks are required.
Symptomatic patients/residents/clients will continue to be asked to wear a mask for the safety of everyone around them (as tolerated).
In areas where Additional Precautions are in place, designated caregivers and general visitors will be able to visit with appropriate PPE.
In areas of outbreak, designated caregivers can continue to visit with appropriate PPE.
