What can data science do for you? How can it be used to deliver outcomes and solve immediate industry challenges and drive innovation within your industry?

Computing in the Real World offers a glimpse of what data science and advanced computing can offer in a rapidly changing environment where new discoveries and technologies are unleashed every day.

Attendees will learn how business challenges can be solved through data science approaches, including: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, machine learning and deep learning, simulation, modelling, and data analytics.

Event highlights include:

  • Successful SOSCIP case studies in advanced manufacturing, digital media and smart cities that will explore how their collaborative R&D project allowed them to transform challenges into innovation.
  • 60-Second Research Challenge/Solution Session - Participants will have one minute to describe their data science challenge to help identify collaboration opportunities;
  • How to apply for a collaborative R&D project and gain access to SOSCIP's suite of advanced computing platforms and expertise
  • A Networking Reception, sponsored by IBM Canada Ltd., to help solidify networking opportunities and share ideas.
