Altenew Paint-A-Flower: White Swan Echinacea Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ( $200 in total prizes)

This month's PAF flower is the White Swan Echidna, It's a stunning outline floral image that's perfect for colouring with several mediums, the set also has 12 sentiments in different font styles, allowing you to choose which best suits your projects.

The PAF White Swan Echinacea and Watercolor essential 12 pan bundle would make a fantastic starting bundle for you or a crafty friends who's wanting to try watercoloring for the first time. I used them for my project today.

I chose to keep my card really simple to show how you can create a pretty card even if you have no/very little experience with watercolor. I created an ombre wash for the background using just two colors from the 12 pan set. I then mixed a couple of colors to create a pinky/purple colour for the flowers and added some darker areas to create shadows and highlights.

I added some inky splatters and stamped a sentiment to finish the card. As you get used to playing with watercolor your skills will develop more and you'll be amazed at how quickly your projects improve. The Altenew YouTube channel has lots of fantastic watercolor videos from the Design Team with hints and tips, so it's definitely worth grabbing a cup of your favourite drink and sitting down to watch a few.
